Software & Standards for Smart Networks & Services 2026


We are proud to announce our presence in the 2026 edition of SNS4SNS, Software & Standards for Smart Networks & Services, which will take place in Sophia-Antipolis, FR from 2-5 February 2026.
Overview
SNS4SNS is an event that brings together open source communities, industry standardisation, and cutting edge research initiatives for the future development of next generation networks and services.
The event will consist of conferences, panel discussions, demos, tutorials and hackfests, where participants can delve into the world of open source software communities.
The meeting will be held in English, and in-person only. Some of the tutorials/hackfests will be recorded and published afterwards.

Tutorial
We held a very sucessful tutorial on Tuesday, showcasing some of the most advanced features OpenSlice offers!

Conference, Hackaton, Demos
We had a very busy week! Here are some highlights:
- 1️⃣ Diogo Gomes (Instituto de Telecomunicações) held a presentation about “Deploying mobility services using OpenSlice”.
- 2️⃣ Nikos Psaromanolakis (UBITECH), Georgios Angelopoulos, PhD (iLINK), Panagiotis Zikos (iLINK), Georgios P. Katsikas (UBITECH) presented a demo on “Cross-layer automation across multi-site and multi-stakeholder environments with OpenSlice, OSM, TeraFlowSDN, Maestro and OpenZiti”… and WON the best demo award! 🥇
- 3️⃣ Georgios P. Katsikas (UBITECH) presented another demo on “Co-existence of legacy and P4-offloaded 5G UPF deployments using OpenSlice, TeraFlowSDN, P4, P4 bmv2 software switch, ONF Stratum, ONF SD-Fabric, ONF PFCP Agent, OAI 5GC, and OAI RF Simulator”.
- 4️⃣ Rafael Direito presented a demo on “Offering CAMARA APIs as a service” leveraging OpenSlice’s orchestration and George Karetsos (University of Thessaly) one on “TruE-MAN: Extending OpenSlice for Trusted Resource Sharing among 5G Operators” in our famous jungle.
- 5️⃣ The Instituto de Telecomunicações (João Capucho, Igor Coelho, Zakhar Kruptsala) Team presented and WON the hackathon with their “Network Testbeds as a Service (NTaaS) based on ETSI SDGs” demonstration. 🏆
- 6️⃣ Kostis Trantzas/Christos Tranoris (University of Patras) represented OpenSlice on stage in the build-up of cross-SDGs efforts with the launch of a long term infrastructure/lab for cross-collaboration between SDGs and friends!
- 7️⃣ Kamel Sadani (NGISLABS.AI) came with a poster on “NGIS/IDT: Intent-Driven Transport and Predictive Zero-Buffer QoS for AI Workloads”.
